Oh my gosh, you guys! I just got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem 5.5” Donatello Deluxe Ninja Shouts Figure by Playmates Toys and it is seriously the coolest thing ever! My friend, Sarah, told me about it and I knew I had to have one for myself. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
I mean, first of all, this Donatello figure looks exactly like he does in the movie. It’s like he jumped right out of the screen and into my hands! And then when you pull back on his spring-loaded arm or leg, he starts shouting out phrases from the movie! And get this – it’s actually voiced by the same person who voices Donnie in the movie. How cool is that?!
But wait, there’s more! When you hold back his arm or leg, the word he’s saying gets stretched out and repeated until you let go – and then he finishes the phrase with a battle sound effect. It’s honestly so funny and entertaining. My brother, Alex, couldn’t stop laughing when I showed him.
And get this – there are eight different phrases and four sound effects that Donnie can say. So even after playing with him for hours, I still haven’t heard them all yet. It’s like having my own personal comedian in action figure form.
